    Full description

    Take a relaxing cruise out to Ruby Island and enjoy a guided walk of the island with many incredible photo opportunities. The grade is easy, suitable for children and seniors. A luxury catamaran will guide you ashore on Ruby Island via a hydraulic bow ramp. Discover the intriguing history dating back to the days of prohibition. Often called the jewel of Wanaka, Ruby is small but very photogenic. The eclectic mix of exotic and native plants adds a foreground to the colors of the lake and the mountains behind. After your walk, return to the vessel for the short cruise back to the Wanaka waterfront.

    • The Island walk takes 20 minutes and rises 20 meters above the beach on an average track
    • The Island walk is not compulsory, you can remain on the boat, at the beach on the island or complete part of the walk
    • Wear rugged soled outdoor shoes or boots with a good tread for grip
    • Children must be accompanied by an adult
    • This activity is subject to favorable weather conditions and minimum number requirements
    • Due to uneven surfaces, this experience is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or those using a wheelchair
